Would anyone happen to know what this strange 'button' below the Fog Light switch is Confused It dosn't seem to do anything - just sits there with it's unlit red eye! What would normally be here - a front Fog light switch?

Do you have an aftermarket alarm, or see any other evidence of one that was once installed? I look like a light for an alarm.

Do you have front fog lights?

Looks like the connection for an immobiliser key, i guess it's disconnected if you can start the car without using it.

It's for a Laserline alarm, it's where you touch the override key should you lose the remote or the remote's battery dies.

Are you talking about my question Sad or about the person who fitted the immobiliser? The latter I hope !

I have one key (its not red Confused ) and a separate remote locking device.

nooo I'm not calling you dumb

the alarm fitter of course Smile

maybe something happened to the standard alarm, so he fitted aftermarket

usually you have 2 black keys and a red key(if your lucky), in case you need to recode the black key

Hold on to your pants, Honda will pull them down Razz A new red key will cost a fortune as the whole system needs re-coded.

It looks like this -

If you dont have a Laserline alarm fitted, you don't need a replacement. You say the red light never comes on?, so if that's the case it's probably been disconnected. I would pop it out of the dash and see if there are any wires still on it and if so, trace them to see where they go.
