Just incase you guys thought I was neglecting the Lude because I have a new Toy, well Im not.. Smile

After my headlight conversion from Keith_B I thought I would top up the look with some Philips Diamond Vision bulbs (retro fitting HIDs seemed too much of a chore). Thought you guys would appreciate incase you were thinking of purchasing...I think they really freshen up the front end. And there's a few pics with my mates Celica, its mint and Jap.. ENjoY. Very Happy

I hear those bulbs are not legal in the EU.
Is this true?

They look pretty good mate, are they powerful?
i have the osram nightbreakers witch are much better than standard. What do you make of the Philips Diamond Vision ones?

no, they're not legal, but thats never stopped me doing stuff before!!

I'm getting H1's from ebay, the cheapest i can find is £33.

I'll take some more photos at the weekend Nitin... have too wait till it gets dark.. Cool

Braz the bulbs are much sharper/brighter in term's of the light but they still only cover the same patch of road as the originals did..ie: you dont get to see more of the road ahead of you at night, Unlike real HIDS which light up the road. My mate has PIAA bulbs in his celica and they are amazing, really light up the road almost as good as HID's (tho they come at a cost (he paid £70 for them).

"Stay away from the ebay £10 xenon upgrade packages", they're worse than the originals Confused

Nightbreakers are good but I wanted that HID blue-ish tint... Very Happy

I didnt know they were illegal ?

Not a fan of too much blue in lights, but they do look good.
Those soft top Celicas are a rare sight.

Never heard of these bulbs before - I take it they are not standard halogen bulbs.

What is that badge on the front of the car mate? Never seen one of those before.

Your mates Celica looks pretty cool too. A lot of people don't like them but I think they look smart.

I think i might try set of PIAA ones in the future, not sure about them being legal though...

Braz: PIAA bulbs are the Doggs danglies....(u pay 4 what u get)

DJ-B/ JDM-BB4: cOrrect, Yes it is the Spoon badge.

G-wig: The celica is mint it has 1 previous owner, UK version (manual-box and leather) most tend to be imports without. It lives int he garage and only coems out on sunny days.

5m: The headlights were strippd apart and various parts were de-chromed and then finished in black.. I wanted to keep an OEM look, not a fan of rings/halos... I would have gone the HId route but it is a bit of a chore, im sure theres a few threads you can read on..
