Another little sticky for us, anyone know any decent insurers?
If possible can you include a phone number and a web address, and whether they'll insure imports/modified cars as well. Would be great if we could get a decent list going cos I hate phoning places only to be told they don't cover imports!!

If any of the phone numbers or links don't work let me know and I'll update the list

Jeebus! Just ran a quote through Bell - £240 for my new 2.2 lude! Thats over £100 cheaper than everyone else I have tried! So I guess I can recommend them.

Direct line insure imports. But.. to insure a 4th gen 2.2 vtec, you have to be 25 and have 2 years no claims, so I guess i'll be changing insurer when I get vtec'ed up. Not that I wouldn't shop around anyway

I just reinsured my car with A-plan, after about 20 mins of haggling they beat the renewal price from Sky by over £250 Shocked

I've been searching around for some temporary insurance for buying a lude and struggled on 2.2 VTEC.

Ended up going with Norwich Union of all places (not had much luck with them before). Got it online with no hastle. Smile

Just been in contact with Sky and got a quote for my 2.0i prelude with 17" alloys, air filter and ss backbox for a great deal of under £400 fully comp with protected no claims as well plus like for like.....

i'm 37 with full no claims but 3 points, nearly out.

gonna wait until my renewal comes in from my current insurer and see what it's like....

what sort of prices have yuo guys been getting roughtly

Just to reiterate we offer a 20% discount to any member of Prelude UK. We are very competitive with most Hondas making us well worth a phone call when you are looking around for insurance. we do many types of insurance not just Japanese and modified cars Cool

I was so impressed, i've just taken out a policy for the wifes Mondeo with you guys, i know it's not a jap car, or modifed much but you guys came through again... just gotta get the ncd proof from my old insurance when the policy expires... no worries..
