Colin, would i be right in saying, that if i moved the red/black and the yellow/black, to pins C and D on the "5g" switch, and moved the black to either A or B, that it would work?

Yes and no. Yes in that the switch would then deliver power to the relay; and no, because the red+black and black wires don't seem to be connected internally within the switch, so the yellow indicator bulb wouldn't come on.

Also of note, Honda got back to me today with a message, so i've got to speak to them about it, but they said the switch i have isn't the right one, and the right one i need isn't made anymore and no stock seems to exist Sad

Classic! I love Honda. Tomorrow, you'll get a note about their 'scrappage' scheme.

Best wishes, Colin

Bugger, so no light, but the rest will work alright?

I'm lucky to only speak to the brains at my local Honda, so they're going to ask Honda tech to see if there is anyway of getting this one working.

Yes it would. But be careful: those switches are delicate inside.

Best wishes, Colin

I was thinking about a thin piece of wire and just "tie" around two pins?

Did you get this sorted. I found my spare 4th Gen fog switch. Want me to take picks? It has no wires but needs a clip on connector.

Go careful - you might bypass the bulb entirely, thereby shorting the +12v to ground and blowing the fuse. The connection to the bulb is internal, so I don't think this will work unless you take the switch apart and make the connection internally.

Best wishes, Colin

Light blue touch paper and stand well back? Very Happy

Fuses are dirt cheap - suck it and see!

Best wishes, Colin

Hmm, k.... think i'll do it without the relay plugged in then.

Would it make a difference wiring ping B to C or go for A to C ?

Also, is there a preference as to which wire you connect the earth to? ie. connect the perm live to the switch or the wire from the switch to the relay?

If you haven't done so already, remove the bulb from the switch and do a continuity test to see which of the pins on the connector are connected to the terminals for the bulb. That will tell you how it needs to be wired up.

Best wishes, Colin

Just thought i'd update this to say all working. The relay is also fine, seems the 4g relay is quite complicated for it's activation and obviously the switch needs it's contacts in the right place (different to 5th gen)
