All,

I'd just like to say that unfortunately I'm no longer a Prelude owner. Crying or Very sad I have to moved to Madrid for work for at least a year and felt that it wasn't viable, for financial and practical reasons, to bring the Lude with me. In the end as I had no time to find a new owner I had to just sell it direct to a second hand dealer.

I had the Lude for 10 years, buying it when it was 9 months old (an ex Honda employee car) and it served me well throughout that time.

My thanks to you all that helped me with the very few problems I ever had with it and I was amazed at the wealth of knowledge that can be found here and the willingness of the members to help out. I certainly was glad I found your forum and to contribute, even if in a miniscule way.

God knows, I'm going to miss the VTEC howl. I'm missing it already and know that I'll never have a car that will come close. I'll probably not be a car owner for some time as it's just not practical here in Madrid. Driving in the city is the next best thing to commiting suicide... Laughing it seems drivers here drive with one hand permenantly on the horn...and the metro system is so good (and cheap) that I don't need a car anyway (plus, I have no parking).

Anyway, I'm sure I'll pop by now and again if only to catch up on the humour. Wink

Hasta luego!

Rich

Best of luck mate. There's gotta be a really good reason for giving up your Lude; and moving to Madrid is definitely in the top 5 reasons!! Cool

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, it was tough giving the lude up after 10 years and I really hope it gets a new ower soon that will continue to look after it. Hopefully the new owner will be an enthusiast.

We moved to Madrid in August and the weather was horrendous... temperatures of 38ºC most days and not dropping much at night. Twisted Evil The weather, up until a week ago was still in the mid-twenties and maybe there was 3 days of rain in two-and-a-half months. Smile Temperatures have dropped a bit now averaging around 17º max during the day. The morning can be a bit chilly but once the sun breaks out it's not a problem. Wink

Madrid is a fabulous city...with every type of food and drink you could imagine but it is expensive. Luckily, the company I work for gives us food tickets of 9€ per day so I save them up for the weekends so we can eat out at minimal cost. Very Happy

My wife is Spanish so at least we are not alone and there is always her relatives to go see and they are only 5 minutes walk away.

Funny thing was, on Friday we went to the city where her parents live and, walking out of the train station, I spotted a very nice 5th gen lude parked up, in white with projector headlights and cf bonnet. Embarassed It was the first lude I had seen in Spain and the first white one! Must say in white it really looked the business!

Anyway, all the best!
Rich
