It's well known that the UKDM Gen 5 ludes have very different exhausts to the JDM Type S. How about the SIR - is this different again to UKDM and Type S?

Does it have the exactly the same bore/length exhuast, CAT and downpipe?

Confused

The downpipe of the Type S is longer, I think its due to having to get past the ATTS unit, as is the US Type SH.

But.. the SIR is probally rarer than the Type S Confused.

HAve you taken the car to a custom exhaust shop to see what they say?

What was the problem anyway??

If you want to upgrade it then i would go to an Exhaust place to get one made up as they can make a custom exhaust for you..

We can get some Type-S owners to confirm what type of Cat (measurement) they have on their Type-S but we dont have any SiR to confirm.. Confused

Sorry - didn't mean to cofuse everyone Wink

I'm odd in that I love the standard Type S exhaust, performance without pain is a good thing for me Very Happy

I think Powerflow have decapitated the flange of my current CAT, meaning that I can't just bolt back on the original centre pipe. I've been offered a CAT from a JDM SIR and I really don't know if it's the same my original Type S CAT. Should I assume that any SIR / Type S import CAT will be the same as long as it's visibily shorter than the UKDM CAT?

The cat on the Type S is a different size to the SIR and other Preludes.

Its was one of the exhaust mods to get the 217bhp. Exhaust was a larger diameter too.
