Is this any use to you? Should be exactly the same for the 5G.

I know one or two members have a set of these, but after picking up a set for a bargain price, I thought I'd knock up a how-to installation guide for them Razz

Now, they are not normally a straight swap into the Lude. You can just about get the rear two bolts to line up, and maybe get one of the front bolts in by bending one of the rails down, but it is basically a bodge Confused . Also, the S2000 seats only tilt forward about 60 degrees, so access to the rear seats for passengers is virtually impossible.

This installation guide will eliminate both of these problems!! Cool

This is because we are going to use the Prelude seat pan, rails, and the Prelude seat tilting hinge Wink

Ok, so here are a set of S2000 seats...

and this is one compared to the standard Lude seat.

Now for the installation.

Tools

12mm socket
14mm socket
17mm socket
Ratchet
Needle nose pliers
Posi-screwdriver
Flat bade screwdriver
10mm spanner
Cable ties

S2000 Seat Stripdown

1. Remove the 17mm seatbelt clip bolt, the 14mm bolt, and the 12mm nut circled.

2. On the other side of the seat, pull the plastic handle off, remove the two screws circled, and then remove the plastic trim.

3. Undo the three 14mm bolts circled.

4. The seat section can now be removed from the rear section.

5. Turn the seat section upside down, and remove the two 12mm nuts circled.

6. The seat rails can now be removed.

7. Using the pliers, unhook all 13 of the hog clips around the trim.

8. Remove the trim & foam from the seat pan, and put them in a safe place.

9. Right, go back to the rear section that you removed. Look at the bottom of it, and you can see a plastic seam where it comes apart.

10. Unhook the seam.

11. The centre section of the seat back can now lift up.

12. Unhook the two hog clips circled.

13. You can now peel back the leather on the bolster, and remove the two 14mm bolts holding the hinge in place.

14. Remove the hinge from the seat.

Prelude Seat Stripdown

1. Remove the seat from the car, by undoing the two 14mm bolts on the front of the rails, and the two 12mm bolts on the rears.

2. On the seatbelt clip side, undo the two screws circled, and remove the plastic trim.

3. Undo the 3 14mm bolts, and 1 12mm nut circled.

4. On the other side of the seat, remove the handle, and undo the two screws circled. Remove the plastic trim.

5. Remove the two 14mm bolts circled.

6. The seat section can now be removed from the rear section.

7. Turn the seat upside down, and remove the 13 hog clips using the pliers.

8. When lifting the foam from the pan, there are three springs holding them together. Just unclip them with the pliers.

9. Remove the trim & foam from the seat pan.

10. Back to the rear of the Prelude seat, look at the bottom of it, and unclip the 5 hog clips circled.

11. You can now unzip the rear flap on the seat.

12. Peel back the bolster foam to expose the two 14mm hinge bolts. Undo them.

13. The hinge can now be removed from the seat. There will be a cable attachment linking the seat to the rail. Just undo the 10mm adjusting nut under the rail & remove this.

S2000 Seat Rebuild & Installation

Ok, here are the two seat pans.

1. Take the Prelude seat pan, and place it on the S2000 foam.

2. Hook in as many hog clips as you can to the location points. For those that don't reach, use cable ties to secure them. It should end up looking something like this.

3. Make sure that these holes either side are not coverd up, as you will need to get a bolt in them later.

4. Turn the seat over and it should look like this.

5. Now, take the Prelude hinge, and bolt it in place on the S2000 rear section.

6. Pull the trim back down tidy over the bolster, and re-hook the two hog clips.

7. Re-clip the plastic seam at the bottom of the seat. It is easiest to start at one side, and use a flat-bladed screwdriver to work along it.

8. Insert the 2nd Prelude rail onto the S2000 seat back, and secure it with the 12mm nut. Make sure that the two plastic bearing bits are in place when doing this.

9. Drop the seat section in place, and bolt up.

10. Re-install the Prelude seatbelt clip & tighten up.

11. Re-install the Prelude plastic trims each side. You can then push back on either the S2000 or Prelude pull handle.

That's it! Bolt the seats back into the car and away you go. Fully tilting, and 100% fitment hate-ok

It looks like a difficult & long procedure, but it really isn't that bad. It takes roughly 1.5 - 2 hours per seat, but the second seat is quicker as you become familiar with doing it Wink
