Well guys the time has come and my lovely Type S is up for sale, I've loved every second owning her but as my wedding draws ever nearer and the pressure to save LOTS and LOTS of money grows ever stronger I have no choice Crying or Very sad

Here are the details

1996 BB6 Prelude Type S
153,500 on the clock of which 122,000 was in km which makes actual mileage 107,307 miles
Pearl White
Imported June 2007
I am the third owner (Sha was the second owner the first was the importer)
PAS
ABS
ATTS (Active Torque Transfer System)
Climate Control
Dual Airbags
Honda Sat Nav and TV option

Good Bits;

*MOT until June 2010
*Tax Until 30th May 2010
*Full Motegi Kit and Type S front Lip.
*16in OEM alloy wheels.
*Honda Access Exhaust System.
*Half leather/alacantra red stitched interior.
*OEM CF look dash panels.
*Honda Acoustics Feedback 6 Disc CD Changer (this sounds fantastic)
*Toad Ai606 Full Closure Alarm with lifetime warranty.
*Full Japanese Service History.
*Recent cambelt change (at 150000 on the clock)
*Had a huge service in May where I had loads of stuff replaced including Lambda sensor, Rota, Cap plus loads and loads of other stuff (you are welcome to see the invoice!)
*All import docs included.
*Always run on V-Power with no exceptions.

Not so good bits;

Side skirts still have cracks in the front and rear of them, this has been like this since I bought the car and have never gotten round to changing them.

There are a few minor scratches on the front bumper (one is about 2cm long and 0.5cm high and the other is very small) there is also a very minor scuff on the rear bumper. There is a patch of clear coat flaking on the front bumper, this is not bad and would disappear with a very good polish (I've had no time to do this I'm afraid).

There is a also a very small dent on the O/S front wing which is not overly noticeable and can only be seen well at certain angles, the paint has been chipped down to the primer but has not been broken properly.

The last thing is that on a couple of occasions (and it's only been a couple) I've noticed the thrust bearing squeal when pulling away, it doesn't do it in any other gear and hasn't done it for a while so it could just have been me leaving my foot resting on the pedal or something and heating it up but it doesn't seem to be affecting anything else, other than that the clutch feel is perfect and there are no problems with any gears etc so everything is smooth with no crunches etc.

I've loved this car and always looked after it (small scratches aside, *Never trust the missus with your car!!!) and it's certainly been a lot of fun. The handling is amazing and the VTec is strong in all gears. Exhaust note is fantastic with the Honda access system.

As I need to get something cheap and diesel Crying or Very sad and I'm aware it's not a great time to sell the car I think I'm putting this at a very good price considering it's condition & spec so I hope someone will be interested.

Price: £2800

Any questions please PM or Email me (More Pics on request)

Cheers

Tom

P.S. Sorry to recreate your ad from when I bought the car Sha but I'm not good at writing this stuff so it's good to have a template!!

Mate,

Sorry to hear you have to sell up, I can confirm that this is indeed a cracking car.

I would have taken it back if I hadn't got another project on the go just now.

Good Luck with the sale Smile

Hmmm, didn't realise you were soo close to me...

I might show my brother this thread, see if he fancies something special.

Failing that, good luck with the sale!

Hi all, right some people have asked about the idle probs i was having before. This appears to have been sorted after i cleaned the egr valve.
I'm going to be putting her in the autotrader in the next couple of weeks just so you know.
Cheers.
Tom

Hey Guys..

I've been really busy for a few weeks so haven't had a chance to get back to anyone really.

The mysterious running problem has re-occured which I thought had been sorted by cleaning the EGR. It's going into the garage next week to be sorted (probably need a new EGR Sad )
It will also have 4 new tyres as well, I'll get back to you when it's sorted.

Oh and sorry guys I don't want another prelude in PX as if I wanted to keep a Prelude I would keep the Typs S because it's AWESOME!!!!
