While over on soc, I found this and thought I'd warn everyone. I know most people would not buy off e-bay, but there just might be one person out there contemplating buying his goods.

I am a paid up member on celica-club and we have a corporate member called Tech carbon selling cheap carbon goodies, taking peoples cash and then failing to deliver the goods, recently it has been found out that he owes thousands, he also has a few different company names which i think are also on ebay, Carben Creation, Carbonedge.co.uk
he is know as Jamies de souza/ Barry as we know and possibly other names


here is a list of people on celica-club he owes money or parts to

1. GreyRacer - CF GT front lip & TRD rear diffuser - Ordered & paid in full 4th. June - NOT received.
3. ano - TRD sides and rear, painted in 1D0 - payment sent ~20th May 300GBP - nothing received
5. Ninjaspy - TRD rear lip. Paid 30/4. Received 23/7. Fitment was terrible so offered replacement. Still waiting.
7. Booth - TRD sides and front splitter in 1D0 paid 31st July. Still waiting Paid £200
8. Wakas - part refunded
9. Nashy - Full TRD KIT Paid £200 In May [Nothing Yet]
10. Tr1cksta - TRD rear lip. Paid 01/5. Rec'd July. Was taken out of the mould way too soon & therefore set out of shape, Jamie offered a replacement but now he no longer has them. Have requested & am still awaiting refund.
11. BenMMellolr - skinning of all pieces of interior plastic dash/door trim from Gen6. £200 of parts plus £100 payment (Cash/Paypal). Have seen a couple of pictures of one piece but no updates since 2 weeks ago. Updated
12. Keeper - top centre console, tripple gauge pod/console door, astray cover. Parts sent mid May but not received- Money refunded just paying funds to replace parts €75
13.chilli-red- TRD Kit,front splitter,rear splitter and side skirts.Part refunded Requested the kit back but no response??

15. celica_gary - carbon gt front lip - paid full 23/6/9 - still waiting
16. e_dale2000 - Carbon TRD splitter and original splitter. - Paid in full over 3 months ago - Nothing yet
17. antmax7 - several parts to be skimmed by jamie including my headlights that he has taken a mould off and started to sell! paid on the 16th of may
18. diablo7772 - console skinning meant to be done before Rising SUN! Only Recived top part of console from a preface lift car! Still waiting.
19. A Pair Of Flabby Wings - Gen 7 boot trim - paid 11th May - Nothing received, now awaiting refund.
20. Mark J - Refund for replacing lost originals sent on the 3rd July (Engine plastic L-Piece, Fuse Box lid and ECU cover) £50 paid 3rd July for making carbon copies. Awaiting refund for replacement of lost origionals already paid by me - £108. Also awaiting carbon copies or further refund of £50. Total OS - £158
22. MikeL - Gen 7 facelift Dynamic lip - paid - nothing yet (delivery promised, from oversees 'this week').

24.Paul Cadey.C/F side skirts and rear diffuser. paid in full, not received,not refunded
25. steve_o - Has my Kam bumper, Engine plastics, Trashed the paint on my C - One scoop and another front bumper of mine.
26. Mythistory. Paid £300 for skinning of whole dash and pillars. Still has dash and pillars. Dash cost me £100 and will now have to replace pillars too.
27.johnyg .Paid £395 for carbon tailgate and 2 x carbon number plate surrounds
28. edwardio. Paid £270 for TRD eyelips, C-One scopp, GT lip & Side Skirts
29. Inneredge - TRD rear lip and sides Paid £170. Requested & was awaiting refund as parts had been taken out of the mould to soon & out of shape.
30. cooperman - toyota rear roof spoiler gen5. no money sent but roof spoiler is almost irreplaceable. was ment to take a mould from it.


civic forum have been informed and MLR(Barry Hayward Scam) apparently this Barry fella owes someone £144,000

also i think he conned people on the 350z forum

So if you didnt already know, be warned with cheap carbon items

He's already visited this forum - luckily for everyone, he *for some reason* refunded everyone unlike other forums.

I believe its all being dealt with as he has been arrested now.

But anyway, although late, its helpful to have posts like this if you smell a rat on another forum before they get to us

Not everyone got their money back. I'm sure gillywig lost out.
Most of us got refunded because we had Ryan acting as our middle man.

I was unaware the rat was trading on ebay.

He deserves a good kicking. There must be a way of getting his IP address and tracking him down.
