Hi Guys

How big a job is this? Had my car serviced recently with ServicingStop (not recommended), and the garage advised that I should replace the Off side track rod end. Oh, and for £270, they'd do it for me....

So anyway, I bought the part for £20, is it a small while-you-wait job for a decent garage?

Tom

£270! Shocked Shocked

It should be pretty straight forward to fit but will need your wheel alignment done at the same time. Your as well replacing both sides at the same time to save you getting your tracking/alignment done again a few months down the line.

Shouldnt take any competent garage more than an hour to fit both sides and align the front wheels.

Perhaps the garage got the price for the part from Honda, hence the very high quote. See what they would say if you supplied the parts.

Or if your competant at fitting them yourself and there is somewhere within a few miles that can do the tracking that could be your other option.
You would need to count the turns when taking off the old track rod ends and screw the new ones on as close to that as possible. Even at that the steering may be a bit sketchy. Razz
