got round to fitting my intake tonight
after some silicone bodging this is the result

small updates,
fixed the ciggerette lighter, due to missing fuse and, bare wires shorting it out once replaced.
then the 4ws light came on a few days ago, did a 4ws reset, seems to have sorted it, fingers crossed

also picked up some superlightweight locking nuts that matched up with my spoon nuts

i know the car is supposed to be go, not show, but the odd nut was doing my head in

and yes i really need to clean my wheels

car died on the way to getting them fitted this morning

Do you think any damage has been done due to the oil loss?

Did it die, or did you stop before it got to that point? Bad news whichever, but hopefully its a repair rather than replacement.

it still seemed to be driving fine, i limped it to the garage, the whole way the oil light was flickereing on and off, not permanently on
so i hope theres no lasting damage and its not a hefty repair bill

Aw mate That's gutting!!! Sorry to hear that. I really hope it's nothing major and just weather related or something stupid

ending up being the balance shaft seal
getting the cam belt and water pump done while i'm at it too
