Right, My end game plan is to put all components in the car. Just at work today my mate was doing his speakers from his prelude all be it the 4th gen but I would like to know if the front speakers on the 5th gen are easy to change over seen as I cant find a speaker adapter and his looked hard. As none of our speakers would fit due to silly reasons. Any help on this would be ace!!

Not all speakers are direct replacements. Make up your own MDF speaker rings to solve the problems.
Basically its the same as the 4th Gen. You can access the door speakers by removing the speaker grills but IMO just remove the whole door card to make life easier.

4G's need to remove the door cards, no other way.

I have since done my front speakers, because on the 5th gen the speaker holes are 120 degree spacing. So i went down to Halfords because i can get staff discount so got a set of component speakers 13cm and due to the holes on the speakers i could use one of the original holes, but the rest i had to drill new holes for. The only problem that i found was they where a rather tight fit due to wiring behind, no problems thou. The other thing that i found is that to install new tweaters, i had to remove the door card to thread the new wire down!

Today i also installed a new set of 6X9 for the rear, which I'm thinking about amping them. not too sure yet as the sound from then is crisp and makes my mirrors shake Its great stuff. But I'm no longer fealing the need for a sub considering i have got a 8000watt amp and 6000 of sub!
