Looks good but can you explain the process? Do you leave the orginal rubber in place and pour over to seal it or is the rubber removed and then filled? Looks like it could be good just need to understand what's being done?
Thanks |

right,
you guys send the mounts which you want poly filled whether thy are new or broken.
i recieve the mounts and inspect them which leads to 99% of the mounts we recieve being able to be filled.
we dont remove and rubber from the mount except if there is alot of the over spill of the rubber (thin flappy stuff)
then we "acid" (acid solution) dip them to degrease them and clean off all the year and years of contamination which would prevent the poly from bounding to the exsisting rubber.
once we have blocked one side of the mount off to prevent the poly from oozzing thro the mount (we use a wax compound which moulds to the shape we need it to)
then it is put into a oven to bake for 6-8 hours
so we use the whole mount and poly fill the gaps COMPLETELY which will make the mount 100% strong and much much more durable. _________________

So its more of a coating than a replacement part then? |

I havent mentioned any where that its a replacement, only that we can supply replacement engine mounts to poly filled _________________

The existing parts are not simply polyurethane coated........as has been said. The mounts as standard have gaps etc between the metal body and the rubber mounting part. As these get old they can sometimes pull away from the metal body or perish and split completely so rather than buy a new mount you can fill the mount body with polyurethane.
However I have heard that if you select a polyurethane compound that is too hard it can transfer a lot of vibration from the engine to the chassis making the ride uncomfortable. However the reduction in engine twist through torque under load can supposedly improve acceleration (or this might be bolocks)
Its a gap filler not coating. |

100% correct all of it........ Amen to u bro
the power transfer part of it is completely correct, having "more" solid engine mounts will increase the power produced by the engine transfered to the wheels as its not being wasted thro moving the engine backwards and forwards. so having used broken engine mounts will reduce the power transfer to the wheels, the power/energy thats used to move the engine under hard acc cud be transfered to the wheels instead of being wasted.
basically engine movement is very en effecient.
regarding the hardness
we offer several different shure grades. 90 is super hard and 60 is hard but very very bareble.... _________________
