Does anyone know what this connector is for? Its got me royally confused.
Its located just under the radiator expansion bottle. There is absolutely no slack in the cable.

Not liking the rust Sad
Thanks

It may to be for an optional extra. Think

What hasn't your car got?

It's the electrical connector for the driver side cooling fan...

Wonder why it isn't connected Confused 99% sure thats what it is, I'll check on my car in a bit and get back to you.

Its very similar to the drivers side cooling fan connector but that's already plugged in Confused
I'd love to say that it is, as currently that fan does not spin. Sad

Fog lights possibly? Mines a JDM BB1 as well, with quite a few of the options as well, and theres no plug or cable there on mine at all, only thing I can think of is fog lights really (mine didn't have any, previous owner had to fit them, maybe he moved the wiring around I dunno). Can you try and find out where it leads to?

*edit* Woah, I swear I put this in with the previous post!

Could well be the fogs, it did have fogs at some point in the car's life.
I'll see if they have tied it in as it was quite tight and didn't want to flex to much.
The wire was quite hard to follow due to its location.

I'll update the thread when i've located were it goes to.
there'll be another thread soon as there is another! connector in front middle of the radiator, though this one may also be for the fogs, but does not seem to reach the location of were it would need to reach.

Cheers guys Smile

Might also be the wiring for cornering lights? The reflectors that site with the indicators are optionally wired up to light up the direction in which you're indicating to turn.

Best wishes, Colin

Fog lights would be correct! it had been neatly tucked away by one of the previous owners!

Now for connector number 2!

It looks like it was connected to something on the bracket just below the oil cooler. Similar to the horn connectors but there both present Smile

Yeh mine has that on to, though i took it off to take the picture as it looked like it wasn't complete and no longer attached to the bracket nor did it look like it did anything other than stop the elements getting into the connector Confused

Its a weird one Smile
