The Mugen shocks and red and yellow showa are exactly the same. Its a 20mm drop. Its not standard but is a factory option. Lewd lover had different lower springs in his. Either way its smoother and harder and lower than normal.

Same as mugen! Very Happy Cool Has anyone run Tein or Eibach springs on theses dampers? If its 20mm lower now I would like it to be about a 35mm drop.. Or are the showa springs better suited to the dampers?

Thread revival, I know, but does anyone know for sure if the Koni/Eibach works with a Type S? The reason I ask is because the Demon Tweeks site says, for the Konis, "Exl SH". Are they not the same as a Type S?

If this isn't an available option I'll probably go down the Tein route, of which, opinions seem to differ as what's best for general usage, SuperStreet or Basic Confused

noidea but i would seriously think about the extra 120 odd as an investment. the basics cal only affect ride height. paying all that and only getting one option kinda leans me toward the super streets as you get height and ride adjustability.

All 4th gen and 5th Gen suspension are interchangable. Even the Type S is the same, its the rest of the suspension that is different. So even if it says excl SH or Type S it will fit.

Well thanks to the joys of a leaking manifold (with built in Cat Evil or Very Mad ) on my Civic daily driver, I'm going to be a tad restricted on choices!

Thinking of the KYB/Eibach route. Any thoughts on KYB's? I believe they're more of a standard replacement, rather than a choice for sportyness but, hey, they're relatively

How much lower in real terms is the average drop?

The reason I ask is that whilst replacing my sissy horns, I dropped a spanner into the undertray and noticed the thing can only be about about 4 to 5 inches (10-12cms) off the ground Shocked I'm gonna need a ruddy rally sump guard if I go lower Laughing

It depends on the Wheel and tyre size also. I was running 215/40R17 with the 25mm Drop and that was low.
But now im moving up to 215/45R17 whuch will raise me 10mm and i intend to get coilovers and lower it another 10-15mm so between 35mm-40mm i rekon is best for daily driving if you love the undercarriage of your car.

Those wheels are roughly the same size as the 215/40R17s.
