Hiya all,

Myself and my partner (mazz) run JapCars-UK and are organising a trip/meet at Cheddar Gorge for 4th July, a meeting of multiple Japanese car clubs! (Well, ones we're a member of, at least!)

So far the list of invitees includes:

Plans are to meet either before or at the Gorge, go for a nice drive around some of the surrounding countryside and have some food at a local(ish) pub, as well as having some nice photos taken in the process, and generally having a good time!

We so far have a selection of people coming from London/Essex way, so we'll be meeting at Leigh Delamere services on the M4 at J17, then heading down to the Gordana services on the M5 at J19, then on to the gorge (for everyone coming from north of Cheddar).

Of course other convoys from other areas/directions can be arranged by someone in that area, for final meeting at either the pub or the gorge (depending on which we decide to go to first)

RULES

Sorry to get all serious, but if there's some basic rules in place from the start, it should hopefully ensure that there are no issues with law enforcement etc and everyone enjoys themselves Wink

  1. The convoy on the motorways will be moving at 60mph (or lower if 60 is deemed too fast for the conditions) - this speed is controlled by the leading car at the time.
  2. If you wish to overtake and reach the front of the queue - you become the leading car and are responsible for ensuring that the convoy continues at a sensible speed.
  3. You are responsible for ensuring you can still see the car directly behind you - this ensures no one gets lost at traffic lights/junctions!
  4. Enjoy yourself!

So - lets start a list of people who want to come along!

If you'd like to attend add your name to the list - that way we can confirm numbers and get a pub booked - there's already quite a bit of interest so need to ensure we find somewhere big enough!

We'll of course be sending PMs/Emails out to all those who have registered interest closer to the time! Wink

just to make sure everyone is clear, here is all the info.

i have booked the pub, it is the swan inn, due to the fact we have nearly 40 people coming!!!

now for the pub details.

we have the marquee as well for this, and its booked for 12.30!

any takers on this from here??

this is the address for the pub.

Rowberrow Lane
Rowberrow
BS25 1QL

and a quick reminder about convoy rules.
yes i know its been said befor, but we would like to make it clear.
this is a JC-UK run where we have invited a numerus other jap car clubs to join us.
so to make a big impression, that the jap car sean is still alive and well and just cos we all own and drive them
be it modded or not, we are not a bunch of chavs, but we take pride in our cars!

RULES
