I've been using a 4th gen alternator on my 5th gen for about three months now without any adverse effects. Had to cut the plug off the 4th gen as well as the connectors are slightly different.

Why do you want to replace the JDM H22 with a lower spec H22?

I'm not sure exactly what parts it is that makes the JDM H22 different to the UKDM H22. Sorry man Sad There was a discussion a while back but I don't think anyone managed to work it out Laughing

Anyway, anyone know of brake caliper differences between the 4th and 5th gen? Or are they interchangeable?

I feel it is worth adding that the 4G 2.2VTEC and 2.3 (H22 and H23 respectively) can both use the distributor from the Rover 623.

The Rover 623 actually used the Honda H23 engine. The distributor in question is TD60u.

I also think, but am not certain that the dizzy from the Rover 620 and 618 will fit the 4G 2l. I can't guarantee this though.

From searching around a lot over the last few days (my dizzy has gone!) I have come to the conclusion that there is less demand for the ones listed as Rover and therefore they are cheaper.
