Havent had a look yet. I wont worry unless it gets worse. Im thinking of taking it off the road in November for a month to go through everthing, arches and respray included.

Well after finding the drive to get cracking on the lude again I have made myself a huge job list and it goes like this:

Arches
Drop links
Sort oil leaks Shaft seal, poss balance shaft seal/crank/dipstick?
Full respray
replace head

I aim to do the head last when I have more money, but the other jobs can be done by me for little money. I am confident on the arch repairs now and I will update in due corse.

For now though Ive been prepping up my CF bonnet. As it was quite milky I decided to paint most of it leavig a small part exposed in CF. I will re laquer the CF and spray the rest red.

Here is a sneak peak of what I have planned

The cosmetic stuff will be the easy bit, its sorting the engine that will be the hard bit. The engine is in good shape and running well, its just making the odd noise from time to time like a clacky noise BUT its DEFINATELY top end issues, it was doing this before it was sent away for skimming too. Also still smokes when cold even though I had new stem seals and new valve guide, so feck it Im gona have a new head and seals. Will be on the look out for low milage head soon or maybe a complete engine.

Gona get this lude back to A1 condition. Im on a mission pending cash.

Good luck Bri, looking forward to seeing the progress made, don't lose faith in it, it'll make you even happier when it starts going back together again, like mine is doing Smile

Thanks. Looking forward to seeing what she will look lik completed. Just digging through some pics and I forgot about these Madmax kindly did for me.

So nice I have to post them up Cool

This is what Im doing with the arches in the next few weeks. The black metal you can see is part of O/S wing from chufters old lude. So there is an easy way of doing these arches I will cut and stitch rust treat and paint them both up within a weekend me thinks Very Happy

Looking forward to a week on the car at the end of this month

Ooh I like what you've done with the bonnet. Can't wait to see it on.

Good luck with the rest of the plans.

Looking good Bri. If you are looking for another head I have access to a totaly stripped head, off an extremely low mileage car (approx 30-35 k miles). The head was stripped as it was going to be used on the turbo lude build but it didn't happen. To be honest the rest of the engine is there but totally stripped aswell. It will be a shame to weigh it in with the rest of the stuff we have but if no takers then its going to the big yard in a week or so.
