mmmm im really not sure now, i really like the fact the TEINs always get praise for the top ride quality, but this top mount things bugs me, how much extra is it for the mounts then?
Also Kel you say the DC2s you loose alot when you drop the car, loose what!? _________________

Correct em if I'm wrong, but the only different the top mounts make is allowing you to adjust the front camber? _________________

I didn't think the top mounts for the Prelude allow you to adjust the camber. Though I may be wrong. |

Ones that come with Tein's and D2's are just ordinary top mounts to replace you standard one. It's obviously better to use their appropriate top mounts for spring seating.
Jules - I meant droop NOT drop. Droop is the amount of travel the shocks have when it's unloaded (i.e. jacked up). D2's are a bit firm even on the softest setting because of this and most of it because of the damper valving design.

Ahhh i understand now, thanks Kel. i really like the fact the D2's come with the top mount with the price and are still considerable cheaper than the Teins but the harshness concerns me as i wana fx all the nasty rattle in the car over the summer so want a firm but comfortable ride which many say the Tein offer, dont suppose anyone from this site has been lucky enough to experiance bot sets?? _________________

Just to be fair Jules, the D2's are the 1st coilovers I have experienced so not really sure how harsh it is compared to others (for all I know it could be 'soft' compared to others ).
It also depends what profile tyres you're running. This GREATLY affects the ride especially when coupled with coilovers Lower the profile, the harsher it gets.
Saying that, I know a lot of people running Teins with nothing but good things to say about them They're well known for a reason
If you want the Teins, just get a new top mount from your local motorfactors to couple with your fresh set of coilovers Remember the top mount makes a lot of difference to steering feel & turn-ins.
