If you can get hold of one. If you can help it, don't go direct... The guy likes to take his time. I was lucky enough to get two brand new from a private seller in the US. Shipped 2 over and sold one to Mart. Agree with Ammo though... Quality all round Cool

I have a shortshift addapter on mine, bought of ebay.
Cant remember the make, but seems sturdy.
Has made gear changes a bit notchy tho, and not sure its made THAT MUCH difference to be honest. Maybe i've just got used to it?

The adaptor's tend to interfere with the plastic on the centre console.
I had a DC sports one and had to trim loads of plastic off the underside of the centre console below the ashtray to get it into 1st, 3rd, and 5th gear.

I now have a forbidden linkage and its great, I love it. Smile

You still have to trim a miniscule amount off the underside of the gear gator frame when fitting the FM one as well. I think this will be the case of any of the worth while short shifters/adapters as they lift the linkage up that high.

Well with the DC sports one I trimmed all I could without cutting through to the top surface of the centre console and it still caught it Laughing

The FM is better all round, much less notchy too.

If you have the LSD gearbox why do you need a short shifter? Gears in Ludes are short already...

Even with non LSD gearbox - gear ratio is more than good.

In my opinion Wink

The short shifter refers to the throw of the gear stick, not the ratios.

I had a Japanese short-shifter on mine for a couple of months.
I didn't like the notchy feel.
I've gone back to standard now and much prefer it. hate-girl
