why the bloody hell arent my interior lights not work?
ok im lying! the puddle lights and foot well lights on the passangers side work fine but not the drivers side!! or main light!!! grr
ive checked the bulbs, fine ive checked all the fuses, again fine and ive checked the switch on the door and thats ok!! what the hell am i missing?

Here's the wiring diagram for the door (courtesy) lights. The cargo lights will have a similar arrangement as for the door lights.



Note that there are two fuses: one under the bonnet and another in the fusebox on the driver's side. If either of the fuses have gone, then none of the lights will come on.

If the passenger side lights come on with the doors then I'd check the continuity of the wiring between the various lights (pop the bulbs and use a multimeter to check that the wires join up as per the diagram).

what are saftey indicators? Embarassed also would puddle lights be in series with the footwell lights?

The safety indicators are the warning lights on the dash and audible chime that let you know the doors are open if the ignition is on.

The footwell lights will be in parallel with the ceiling light and door (courtesy, puddle) lights.
