That's a great website.
I'd say it would be worth all the hassle to get any of those Preludes. Very Happy

Would these be subject to the £400 per year tax?

Well there's this one:

although he doesn't state BB4, just 'lightweight' which is kind of a flexible term. Most people think of the non-4WS as the lightweight even if it has ABS, cruise, sunroof and climate control.

Advert doesn't look great and the description is a bit thin but it could be good. She may just be under-selling the car. Or not. It is lowered but having seen your Vento I guess you don't drive over many sleeping policemen Laughing

You could always widen your options to include a 4WS car then switch the subframe and remove the 4WS ECU and dashboard bulb should it ever play up. There seem to be many times more 4WS cars than 2WS though.

Still subject to debate I believe. Last thread I read about this just highlighted the lack of clarity in the official guidelines. Some say go by date of manufacture, other say date of import.

what are the costs and process involved with importing like this? pay the asking price on the car, then there is shipping which an online estimate crunched out at around £500 to the UK - what happens from there?

I would guess it's between £800 and £1000 to get it from Japan to your driveway.

*edit* plus the importers fee unless you do it yourself.
