I am quite envious of STK Preludes AEM stand alone ECU Laughing but I dont want to spend the $1000+ price tag & the hassle of importing one.

Is there another way round it? I have little knowledge of ECU's but have read a little on other forums.

Would it be possible to get an OBDII to OBDI convertor harness and use a P28 or P72 ecu?

P13 ECU's are not suitable, correct?

Any input would be great.

hondata or crome it looks like next option, both use a p72 or p28

just remember with the p28 there is the IAB issue

It takes 2 minutes to sort out the IAB issue. Cool

I bought mine from here including the harness.
(please bear in mind that when I bought mine the exchange rate was nearly 2-1)

As for the IAB's, it's simply switching the vacuum pipes

4WS has a seperate ECU
EGR doesn't work with new ECU (P28)
Disclaimer, don't blame me if you fúck it up! lol

Im not going to screw around with it myself, i'll buy all the parts and take it to a tuner.

so by doing this it operates the IAB's to open at what rpm? or keep them open all the time? closed all the time?

From what I have read on PreludePower

So with the P28, does the IAB stay open or closed, since it's not controlled?

redJDMlude wrote:
No IABs so I have the vacuum line for that hooked up directly to the IM so it opens based on throttle position.
