ive just had my car fail its mot because the drivers side handbrake isn't working.
i changed the pads a few weeks ago and had a problem where after the brakes were used the piston would go back about 3mm nd not stay on the pad, so when i put my foot on the brake the pedal would go almost to the floor.
i then adjusted the hand brake which took up the gap and the brakes now work fine but now the slack is taken up the handbrake no longer works :S


any help would be great

not worth messing with, get a replacement caliper.
