The ebay springs have a bad rep for quality on here but I have no experience with them. Wouldn't touch them with yours mate!

You're best off going for Tein S-Tech springs or a set of Eibachs. Check them out on here -

Have you actually received the top mounts for the front suspension? Do you have a part number? I called Honda today with the part number shown below but they told me they are on back order until 8th Jan and that they may well just end up being discontinued now Sad

I Honestly Hope i Get them, Otherwise i mite have to buy coilovers including the top mounts or just sell the Type-S strut brace!

I think maybe some of the guys use ebay springs/coilovers and say they are ok. Maybe start a thread in the Chassis section querying it?

I'm going to get hold of those Type S tops mounts one way or another mate, so don't give up! Perhaps get them shipped over from the US, now there are 3 of us currently looking into getting them Wink

Ammo has used the ebay coilovers, but personally i'd never touch them.

A set of very mediocre springs cost nearly £100, what makes you think a set of springs and dampers that are adjustable can be as good at just £45? Remember, they're making a profit too!

After using basic spings on my 3g, i'll never skimp on them again, i know that just a bit more money improves the ride quality no end. Whilst my 3g handles very well and the springs are fine for that, what i loose out on is ride ability and comfort.

Just to give you a heads up mate;

I have these fitted to my car on standard shocks, lowered about 40mm on the back and around 60-70mm on the front.

They are terrible, but only because they are on standard shocks.

As said, don't expect them to be fantastic, they have made my car handle terribly (due to the shocks probably being buggered now).

Before anyone jumps on the slag wagon, i fitted these with the full knowledge of what they were like and what they would handle like. I fitted these purely for visual purposes so i would know what 'look' to go for with my car. they have filled that purpose and im now looking for some proper coilovers.
