is there a resistor in line for the front speakers because they work fine they are just very quiet! is this normal and if there is a resistor where is it and can i remove/replace it with a lower rating?

Your head unit should allow you to adjust the volume from the back speakers to the front.

yeah i can but its as if they are being restricted!

There will be a resister in line but to protect the tweeters from low frequencies. Most likely it will be your headunit. You must have a setting wrong somewhere.
