Do you guys think 205/50/17 is too much? I was going for 295/45/17 but didn't feel this was a noticeable difference from 45 as I wanted to fill the arches better

Looking for my next set of rims for a 4th gen and wondered if anyone was running more aggressive offsets or wider rims?
Thinking of going the arch roll and flare in order to get something nicer under there but thought I'd ask if anyone had already encountered issues or been sucessful and what can you get away with?
Also how much affect does it have to the irde on 18" with stock suspension?
I have a set of 8" wide Volk split rims I'm refurbing.
Got two in the garage that I still need to throw on the car, go for a drive and check steering clearances. I'll let you know how I get on. Seen 8" on a few in the states and Hyabusa Hunter was running 9.5" up front! But he has big builds for the quarter mile.
Oh and please don't get 18's.
