I'm thinknig of getting the spring and retain the stock damper partly is budget issue partly i don't think i'm that "spirited" driver..

still i would hope to get more informations from fellow Preludians..

will they last?
and significant problems?

Cheers mates! Smile

I've had 35/40mm PI springs on the Accord on the original OEM shocks for what must be 4 or 5 years now. The car is 15 years, done 150k and no issues, and i drive like twat.

Eibach springs on standard shocks that have now done 206k (20k+ with the lowering springs) and still seem to be fine.

hmmmmmmmmm...............I'm suprised normally shocks are gone after 3-5k miles with performance springs..........but as mentioned by many guys everything depends from the condition of the shocks.... Very Happy

3000 miles on normal shocks Confused , i am thinking og getting just springs now as the price of coilovers are ridiculous and cant really justify spending it just to drive around town etc.... Apex do some decent ones i think

I reckon i've done near on 40k on OEM 150k oem shocks with no issues.

Make sure you get an optical 4 wheel alignment done a few days after they have been fitted (give it a few days to settle). The inside edge will still wear quicker due to the camber, but a decent geometry set up should reduce it massively.

Dont know what the hell springs I have on mine but they are 40mm drop. Had these on since i bought the car and 3 years later no problems. And as for handling its s#!t hot. Ive put it through its paces and it cling to the road like nothing I have ever driven. (couldnt drive like that on the falkes tyres though.

I get a good firm ride (then I go for a drive). I think the aftermarket springs and stock shocks is a great combo, with no drawbacks, a cheap option too.

I think any good progressive spring will be fine,

just stay away from the coilover springs IMO

it depends on what ride you want really..

ebay coilovers are good for the track/drag racing as allows adjustment, cheaper, smooth track.

progressive will be a better ride, especially on our unpredictable roads
