Just wondering what you guys in the know would recommend for a back to black product. My fiance's car currently has really pale grey trim that should be black so I am currently looking for something that will get it black again with a gloss finish preferably rather than a matt finish, but anything to get the colour back would be good. What's best???

I use the wax i use on the car (turtle wax ice) its clear so you can do your trims and rubbers with it as well as the bodywork. I sometimes just use auto glyms back to black too, if they're really that faded it may be better to whip them off and respray them Very Happy

I like AutoGlym Bumper Care. It's a bit messy but pretty decent results that last a couple of weeks.

I think Meguirs stuff is generally better than AutoGlym (worth the extra 2 quid a pack anyway), not sure they do back-to-black stuff but if they do it's not in my local Halfrauds.

Need a pic, what you've described could be many different types or causes for the discolouration. Get a pic on here and it will be easier to recommend the way to get the desired look.

AG Bumper care is good, best if left on overnight for badly faded stuff.

Groundnut oil may be worth a shot.

Possibly a heat gun, but exercise care!

Or the chaps on DW are currently singing this products praises -http://bromoco.co.uk/backforgood.aspx

That stuff looks pretty good, seems to work on the same principle as leather dye.
