Over the years I've used a lot of different pads and disks types including the big 330mm grooved disks. Always suffered from a spongy pedal when the brakes got hot on a track day and always ended up with warped disks.

After advice from Dino I tried some good quality blank disks and Hawk HP+ pads. Also changed the brake fluid to racing fluid. The results were amazing and this is without doubt the best setup I've ever had for both track and road.

After reading peoples opinions and experiences, im thinking of trying the Nissin pads or Hawk Pads.

I know Hawks are popular in the US, I see them raving about them on the US forums. Is there a UK supplier that stock for the Prelude?

Where would be the best place to get Nissin pads, cheers. I may use these for the back if they dont generate much dust.

The rear brakes won't generate much dust anyway as they're not used for serious stopping. Nissin is a sub company of Honda, so a Honda dealer or maybe ebay for the pads.

My Nippon pads are generating more dust than the old pads that were on the car. I will have a look on ebay first I suppose.

Im getting some red stuff brakes fitted 2moro.

1 question - is it normal to have a clip on only one single pad at the front and one clip on a pad at the rear? When i say clip, its a bit of metal that sticks out somewhat. Not sure what they are for!!

They are the wear indicators.
They will squeal when the pads are low.

You only need one indicator per wheel, so four in total.
I've only done my rear set so far, but I think the fronts should have wear indicators on them also.
I don't know why you've only got two. Maybe because they're after-market. Confused

Yup, you should have a wear indicator on each wheel, if you've not, you've got the wrong pads, ie. two outside pads.

Thinking about it, if you have only one indicator on the front and one on the back it shouldn't be a problem.
They are replaced in pairs, so if the one on the back starts squealing you'd replace both.

Could be inconvenient if you had one sticky caliper though. Sad

Well they are on!! the 2 clips was obviously adequate as they didnt mention it when i picked up the car. I must say, the new brakes feel lush! They seem to be real responsive. Want to try them out proper tonight as yesterday didnt want to put my dad through the windscreen!
