Im interested in what pads everyone are using?

When I replaced my discs and pads I bought Nippon pads, after a couple of sucessive hard brakes the performance of these pads drops off significantly. Also they create a load of dust Sad.

What do you use and how do you find them? a rough cost would be sweet as well.

Cheers.

How many people here have actually used the OEM Nissin pads and not just OR replacement pads such as mintex from the local motorfactors?

he he yep there is a big difference isnt there. I ran mintex on my old 4th gen and when they were low i changed them to OEM nissin direct from Honda.
There was still brake fade but only when you really really push and brake dust was almost non existant. (almost). Much more efficient stopping power.

I need some for the Accord. I have EBC Greens at the moment but they need replacing now. I'm reluctant to get EBC again due to initial run out problems i had.

I've looked at Ferodo DS2500 and Mintex 1144s, but at well over £100 for a pair of front pads they are out of the question.

I'm probably going to go Honda OEM.

Quite a few people have said the predator pads are good.

In my experience of the Nissin pads, even from brand new, they bite so hard the wheels locked up even on the handbrake at the MOT, including individually.

Mintex are very common from motorfactors, i don't find they work properly until they're worn in and are fairly dusty. Depends on the model of course, but still.

Only prob with the Nissin pads is they're not cheap tbh, though if you can do a Pushki77 and find them on ebay, nice Cool

i think nobody take in considaration pads vs discs

what people say about diamonds is different to my set up, and thats only because i have different discks.

so different combos diferent results.

I've just replaced my discs and pads all round with mintex items, cost me about £150 for the lot. I would of gone for drilled discs and better pads, but as i'm out of work i'm on a budget Sad they work fine tho!

Stock Discs with EBC Red Stuff pads, standard braking performance when the pads are cold but really clamp down when warm with 0 fade!

I use Hawk Ferro-carbon pads up front - they're not cheap and need to have a bit of heat in them but they're fantastic. I'd definitely recommend them and will buy them again if I can afford it Cool
