Firstly i hate the freakin radio control style aerial thats on the lude it was the same for my accord as well, why so large? Anyway recently bought a pretty cool sony bluetooth stereo which only made the aerial come up when i listen to the radio which is awesome because i hardly ever listen to the radio but i get the benefit of the aerial monster hidden while listening to cd's mp3's etc. Yesterday however it started coming up all the time and i cant work out what i might of done to change it?

Any suggestions? Sorry for the essay!

Cheers Smile

Whats best to do here is to cut the antenna wire which is yellow/white and ass some more wire and a small switch hat you can mount on the side of the centre console or somewhere.

So you can turn it on and off. This is what i did and it worked well. Most radios have the ability to turn on and off the antenna function in the radio.
Cant remember what the function is called. APS or something.

Lots of folks on here have used the JDM half-aerial switch for exactly that purpose. Very Happy Pushki's profile might be a good place to start.

Best wishes, Colin

Exactly what i've done too, my half mast switch now "disables" the aerial when it's pressed Smile

Im abit confused as to why its all of a sudden stopped working as before because that was fine. I will have a dig in the menus of the stereo to find that aps function first before wiring in a seperate switch i think
