In my Black H22a5 I recon it could top 145, but in my current H22a8 I dont think it could even hit 140 Sad. M2P4 Gearbox is not as good for top speed, or even just cruising on the motorway Sad

When i was in Germany in the Type S i clocked 165mph on the Speedo. Didnt have satnav for correct speed but id estimate it at 155 give or take. Type S has a longer gear ratio but 150-155 is the max.

Got there very quickly too. Shocked

In my previous 1997 H22A5 Prelude, I reached 140 MPH with a little more to go, but I was crapping myself. And that was with a passenger onboard.

I know we've got shorter gear ratios than the M2V5, but I reckon it could easily hit its official quoted top speed of 142 MPH (same official top speed as the H22A5).

I've reached 130 MPH in mine, with surprising ease, I was shocked that I was going so fast. It clearly had more left in it, but I didn't have enough left in me!

It's not better as such.
Yours has longer gear ratios, the later spec M2P4 has shorter ratios that gives slightly quicker acceleration.

Hitting limiter = slow and bad
not hitting limiter = better and faster
