Hey all,
Just wondering exactly what was different on the Mugen lude.
So far I got:
Front Bumper
Front Lights/Nostrils
Rear Spoiler
What else to add? |

Were they factory options, or was the 4th gen available in a "Mugen Spec"? |

Ask Rob/Nucleastylz: The Guy lives for Mugen. He even wears his Mugen underpants inside out.
I'm sure he will be along to give you all the infor you need. _________________

Cool stuff...
How is the rear bumper different? I don't think I've seen one... |

Are they spats around the back rather than a full bumper?
Love coach-stripe Wonder how that will look on a certain red 'Lude?
Best wishes, Colin _________________ "My other car is a mid-bulk transport: 03-K64, class: Firefly"

I was thinking the same about the stripe too
And it may be spats, but I have seen Mugen ludes with different (either through a lip or spat addition) rear bumper in the states _________________

Ah a topic I'm familiar with! And yes the Mugen pants are just made so well, in the wind tunnel with the rest of the kit
That green pic was out of there 1992 launch brochure for new parts on the NSX, Prelude, etc. So I think it was a wish list - they hadn't even named the gorgeous M7's at that point, just 'new wheel'.
I think most of it made it into production. I know they exist but I've never actually seen a pic of a genuine Mugen Exhaust system for the 4th gen.
Only people retrofitting the 5th gen one.
Plus I've never seen the strut brace referred to.
Not saying they don't exist???
As for the rear bumper bits. The original Mugen kit just utilised the standard rear bumper, but I've heard from good sources that Mugen commissioned a company called Canam to produce some rear corner spats. I've seen a few sets and Rash did copies a while back.
As well as the list on that pic they did just lowering springs on there own. Plus there was usual general items like Oil caps, pedals, etc.
Here are subsequent brochure / catalog pics since that Green launch pic:
And yes that is a very funky and rare Mugen edition Casio G-Shock watch!
And the only one I physically own is actually a French written brochure!
Has the NSX, Civic EG/Ferio, CRX del sol on to.
Oh and just for the sake of it, Mugen phone card anyone:
In fact, shall I dedicate this thread to Mugen Prelude goodness. Been meaning to make a fresh post to fill with all my pics I've gathered over the years. Plus I want to do another for general Mugen pics (any hondas and general apparel). Gotta know your roots guys.
*EDIT* Found another pic of a parts brochure I had:

Feel free to do what you want with the thread...
I will hopefully have a few Mugen bits soon, but we'll see.
I'm specifically after the spoiler, skirts and bumper. (Aren't we all! )
That would quite possibly inspire me to start saving for a respray. Hang on a second... Student loan gets paid in October... |
