Not me.
Today I decided to start to wetsand my lude.
I gathered all the gear required and off I went.
I only managed to do the bonnet today, but I'm in no hurry.
Here's some pics.

Thanks.
I used 3M 1200 grit and finished with Meguiars 3000 grit.
I then machined it with Meguiars #83, then Autoglym Super Resin Polish, then I used Meguiars Deep Crystal step #2, and I waxed it with Frost's Carnuba Wax. |

Yes I will, I'll be doing the wings next, the paint I applied on the stone chips should be cured by then. |

It seems a daunting task but believe me it's not that difficult.
If I can do it anyone can. |

good results tho! cheaper than a respray |
You have to treat each panel differently.
I had a very long scratch on my bonnet, probably my fault when I cleaned it a couple of months ago, therefore I used 1200 grit to level the clear coat with the scratch.
On my other panels I will use 2000 grit and finish it with 3000 grit.
I was quoted £1600 +VAT for a full respray.
In my opinion this will come out better than a respray as there will be no orange peel. |

Research and patience is all that's required.
Once you start doing it you'll wonder what all the worry was about |

Will this work on repaired panels you think? I'm worried that the lacquer might be too thin to work on and actually sand it off |
It depends on what's wrong with it.
The best way to go about it is to start of gently ie not too agressive.
Start off with just polish and see what happens. |
