Look what was outside my house this morning hate-cool :

I was browsing Autotrader late on Sunday night and saw this car, from the description it sounded really good for the money, and was only 30 miles away, bonus!

She is a 2000 plate 2.2 VTI red top, 74,000 miles, totally original. The guy I bought it from has owned the car from new, and has kept it in really good nick. The car was used as a daily driver, but only 3-4 days a week (shift work), and driven round his small town so never really used Vtec or thrashed it.

Quick Summary:
    Silver V Reg 2.2 VTI 197bhp
    74,000 miles
    4 wheel steering
Full black leather interior with heated seats hate-tunz
    Heated mirrors
The usual air-con, cruise control, sunroof etc
    “Type-S” induction
    Original exhaust
    Original Honda alloy wheels
    Original Honda amplified sound system
    A non-gay / Noddy sounding horn Dancing

I dont plan to do much to the car initially as it still in its original state, just simple things which I have bought already or are on the black lude.

I am undecided with what to do with the Mugen replica bumper I bought for the black lude, not sure if its going to be sold with the black lude or install it on the new one. I really like the Mugen bumper Confused After christmas (I know its a long way away), go for a set of coilovers? and an exhaust system. Really depends when I loose my resolve and want to upgrade something Wink

You wont believe this, £1,900. Shocked

Its pretty much mint, one small stone chip on the bonnet and a small scuff on the front bumper. Other than that I couldnt find a mark on it. Nothing to knock the guy down with. Actually I would have felt a bit guilty trying to get money off, its more than worth £1,900 IMO.

He he Very Happy , thats why I jumped at it. I had to get them to confirm all the details over the phone as I was sure there had been a mistake made somewhere, 174,000 miles not 74,000 or similar.

I have to say I dont really agree, I have been considering selling mine and the only one thats come close is a Motegi on a 2000 with 65K from a Saab dealer for £4500 and I have been keeping a keen eye on the auto trader

This Prelude is an absolute bargain but there is no way I will be selling mine if thats all i'm going to get for it!

Not bad. The H22A8. Same engine as the Type S bar the ECU and cats. Bargain IMO.

No, I would think the extra 10 bhp will be soaked up through lugging the heated leather seats about Laughing

Sound wise there is alot of difference. The black lude has HKS induction and a SS manifold and SS exhaust, while the new lude has stock parts. The silver lude, as you would expect is alot more quiet and refined. The induction growl is more high pitched than the HKS system. In the black lude revving to 4K would produce a nice growl while the silver one err.... doesn't. The gear box feels amazing in comparison with the black lude, very smooth.

One thing I have noticed, and have yet to confirm, is that the black lude cruises at 100mph (on my private air strip) @ 5K rpm, the silver lude seems to be more than 5K rpm @ 100mph.
