Mart, yeah, i looked at those a few times, i think most of those sizes are no longer available and they're unfortunately in stupid money.

Dave, shush, let me have my fun Razz
Honestly though, i just want to keep the weight the same as stock whilst upgrading the wheel, i don't want/need to go lighter than the stock weight of 15.5kg for the wheel and tyre together.

You're totally right about the rest of the weight saving, but if you're going to feel weigh saving anywhere, it's the unsprung weight, everyone can feel it there.

But, as i said, i just don't want to increase the weight, and this year, it seems much harder than a year or so ago to get the same wheels in the right fitting anyway, a lot of companies no longer manufacturer the same range in the right size Sad

Yes Saks, i use wheelweights.net it's quite useful when you can't source the info from the manufacturer.

Mart, you're looking at excess of 10.5kg for your tyres, i assume they're 215/35/18?

Drop a wheel off and plonk it on the scales so you can see what they weigh, at the very least, you're looking at a total of 15.5kg for the stock facelift wheels, or about 18.5kg for the stock pre facelift including tyres.

Most rota's are cheap and lightweight. I'd recommend anything that they have.

Yeah, Rota do a nice light weight range, not as light as the wheel they copy, but a lot cheaper Smile

I saw somewhere that Rota have a bad name in the states as they're not very strong.

took me ages to find wheels i liked and would fit, even Demon tweeks could only find 2 style of wheels to fit, both were had way to much chrome. I know the lads in my local Motorworld and basicaly said , u get a quote and they will beat it, they cost £665 with Toyo T1R's, fitted n balanced.

Yeesh, spendy for tyres.

I like the steel grey boosts

But if i'm going 16 inch, i want them a tad lighter, so i looked for the Advan RGII they're copied from, but i don't think they're available in the right size.

Does anyone have a list of the rare JDM rims like the Volks, Advan, Mugen etc?

Rota Slipstreams all day long, I haven't looked back since I bought mine. A well designed wheel that compliments the Lude nicely but at the same time is lightweight. What more could you ask for?

Yeah, they're nice wheels, suffer from being everywhere though, got any pics? i can't run black ones on the dark red so i'd need a silver type. But yes, they are quite light at 6.3kg for the 16 inch Smile
