Maxx has it right Ratty. You wouldn't put Dynax UB on top of Dynax S-50. But you could put both on top of Hydrate.
Bear in mind that anthing you put on top of that paint in the boot won't stop the rust developing. You just gotta expose it and then kill it mate.
Rust never sleeps!
Not sure about Second Skin, sorry.

But i know that when i lifted the boot floor up you could see tiny surface rust there. Its a 1996 5th Gen so its very early and i think its been on these salt chavvy roads since 2001. ALso need to check under the side sill and remove both bumpers.
Im the summer i want to get the actualy chassis brand spanking clean, fully rust treated even if there isnt any and then im sealing it with Second Skin Spectrum (is actually a sound deadener but has loads of rust inhibitors in it and has proven very very hard wearing and prevents rust). |

Sorry if this has already been covered but im a lil confused on all the different types lol
Got a 5th gen, only rust i can see is round the boot lock and a tiny bit on the front left wing on the corner about the size of a 5p
What would be best to use and get rid of this as a short term solution as ill probably be getting a respray later in the year?
Also want to de-rust the calipers and a couple of bits and pieces in the arches??
Also what would i use to prevent rush in the arches?
Cheers for any help |

OK, lets see what i can help out with here
If you're after a quick temporary solution until the bodyshop, use the Hydrate 80, this will neutralise and protect the rusted area until it can be addressed by the shop.
De-rusting callipers, this will depend on how well you want to do it and how much effort you want to spend on it.
If you want to pull it all apart, then prepare a bath of the Deox C and soak them in that, this will remove the rust and clean them up nicely
This goes for anything that you can remove from under the arches and have a container big enough to submerge them in the Deox C mix.
If you're leaving it all on the car, then use either the Hydrate 80 or again, if you're going all out, use the Deox Gel to de-rust the parts.
Just whilst i'm thinking, the very first thing you need to do is make sure all areas are free from loose dirt/rust and degreased (use Surfex HD for this)
Once you're done cleaning and rust treating it all, protect with probably Dynax S-50 or Dynax UB, the second of the two is like an under-seal but with the rust removal/protection of the S-50.
If you want a paint finish on anything to protect from rust, seems that the Electrox will be the thing. It's like a balls out rust preventative paint that weighs a tonne _________________

Lude-Dude, try the Ferosol on rusty bolts (to undo them) WD40 actually stands for water displacement, it was it's only real design idea so other things can be more efficient.
If it's rusty bolts you already have out, the Deox Gel would work fine, but putting them into a small bath of the Deox C would be perfect.
Shaun, no problem, yes, if you made up a bath of the Deox C, you can soak the whole thing for a night or two, it will clear the rust off to pull the piston out and you can soak the calliper and the piston in the solution. _________________

Can you please chase him up for me as well, as I placed my order on the 10th of March and I'm still waiting.
I was charged £5.90 for 2 items, 23% of the cost.
I expected a fast delivery for that price. |

I went to buy some BH stuff today, but am unable to find the Dynax UB on their site.
Can someone point me in the right direction please. _________________
