Boy trapped in fridge eats own foot!
.....In other news, the boys came over again on Saturday with the aim of stripping the head. Alas, after deep discussions it became apparent that none of us had neither the tools nor the expertise to carry this out so this part of the decontruction will be carried out by proffessionals.
But anyway this meant we could get on with the laborious but satisfying task of cleaning. Yay!
John decided to go straight for the big job of cleaning the gearbox, Ed gave him a hand while I made myself a coffee and smoked a fag. Graft eh?
The fellas had brought a lovely tub of acid with them to help us clean. John got careless and splashed some on his arm, he asked Ed to chuck him some kitchen roll which Ed duly did. Not fresh kitchen roll though, just some he found laying about that happened to have white paint residue on it from cleaning a brush. This made John's arm look real pretty.
Once we had finished laughing at Johns zombie arm, myself and Ed turned our attention to the bottom half of the inlet mani. Wire brushes at the ready.
I wanted to take the sensor off the mani before we cleaned it so that it didn't get damaged. The screws holding it on were proving to be stubborn little beggars. "we could try heating up the metal around it, you got a blowtorch?" asked Ed. "Yeah man!"
We soon got bored of that so the much easier plan of spraying the the mani with Gunk and breaking out the pressure washer. Much more fun.
I realise at this point it looks like I haven't done anything but it was actually me that did most of the pressure washing.

Ed had to have a go cos it looked like fun. "ooh I've got to get me one of these!" he remarked. Well the end result was pretty damn good.
John had got most of the crud off the gearbox by this point and had discovered the joy of powerdrill + wirebrush attatchment so he helped us out with the top half of the mani.
The butterfly valves had been removed from the centre section and that had also been cleaned, so we put the mani back together, stood back and admired our handywork. It was quite shiny
It was beautiful

So beautiful infact that I couldn't take my eyes off it. I stared and stared for hours, but unfortunately it was so bright that it set my face on fire
This concluded another successful day's work. I did a little more today, unsupervised

Cleaned up the intake valve, starter motor and buffed up the gearbox.
BONG!
"And now, the weather"
