I think in the leather industry they have special instruments to measure the thickness. 1.3mm was the thickness stated on the listing when I bought it.
The leather I bought is very, very soft and supple.

The more my interior changes, the more I need to do or buy to match everything up.
This month has been quite expensive for me so the mats can wait, but I agree they would look so much better.
Maybe they can be the final touch once I finish the re-trim and get some rear seats.

I'll check my speedo tomorrow and see what's what. Confused

Wow! Interior is looking great Pushki! Cool

The seats look in fantastic condition and the work on the centre console really compliments the interior. The OEM gear knob looks miles better too! All black interior and black leather is the way to go Wink

Strip the old 20th Century styling from your insert.

Take it back to the bare metal, I used a wire brush attachment on my drill. hate-teach

Stick the foam to the insert.

Stick the leather to the insert.

The reverse. Rolling Eyes

Welcome to the 21st Century. hate-eyeheart

Looking good Pushti! Cool

Don't tell me you are going to re-upholster your back seats with all that left over hide!
Good Luck, if you are,

They look great Push.

The foam really does make all the difference doesn't it?

I do fear that you may be redoing them though looking at your choice of glue. I've done mine three times now. First time was spray glue like you've used. That came unstuck in parts during hot summer days. Second time I used Evo contact adhesive. Still no good came unstuck over time. Third And last time I added the foam and use the best glue I can find specifically for car retrims. Not cheap but worth it - got it from a place called Woolies on the net.

Hope yours holds out though. Wink

Good Luck, if you are,

There's not much hide left. Surprised
I had to re-do two of them because I was unhappy with the finish.

I fear you may be right. Crying or Very sad
The glue is definitely the weakest link. I ended up using four cans from different manufacturers.
I just hope the leather will allow the glue to 'breathe' in extremes of temperature. Pray

MaXX, I'll PM you with some costs when I'm not so tired. Possibly tomorrow. hate-sleepgo_ron
