CWAG, very good, i like that shampoo a lot, make sure you measure it right, they refer to fl oz to US gallons on the side for a normal wash (not mixed at wax stripping strength)
I worked it out to a British 3 gallon bucket about 55ml of CWAG mixed in.

WMF, only heard and seen great things about this, i have a bottle, smells really nice, but i've not had chance to use it yet Sad

Blitz, a lot of people saying this is good stuff, looks like a good mix of quickness over durability, and Stan rates it Wink

Hmm, not seen anything about the wheel and rim cleaner, the general consensus is that Bilberry wheel cleaner is the best, i got some and i'm very impressed with it, so let us know how this stuff works out.

New look trim gel, i have the CG natural shine dressing, not entirely sure how they differ, but again, let us now how that goes.

Fabric clean, interesting, can you use it with just a "garage vac"? I just got some odour eliminator, but it's not gonna clean like this is.

A nice little haul you've got there Smile
Hope you've got some applicators, MF cloths and drying towels etc? Smile

I'll be honest, i rarely see Zymol stuff mentioned in the "circles" at all, much like never really seeing things like Turtle wax mentioned either.

It doesn't seem to be a brand thing either, people will use a healthy mix of a lot of different brands to get the most suitable or best of type they can.

If you have different product types you want to try or need, just say and i'll give you some good options for each.
With waxes like Vintage, Royale & Solaris, it's difficult to place Zymol in the same sentence as Turtlewax!

You won't see Zymol mentioned much on DW as people tend to use cheaper alternatives and for a pro to use it, they have pay £ks to be an authorised user, or Zymol sue them! lol!

I believe the Zymol stuff in Halfords isn't proper Zymol, it's made under licence by someone like Turtlewax (contradicting my first sentence Wink ).[/quot

i dont mean the stuff you get from halfords(but it does smell dam good)i got my mine from demon tweeks for 120 quid but split three ways between me and my mates its was worth it only i found if you had new paint work

Alex, yeah, it does seem they're very expensive products for what they are and compared to it's competition on the market.

the stuff is good but 120 pound good no and the novelty of rubbing what looks like a bar soap across your car soon wears off.i think am going to try the stuff which is on here especially for the price

I got another delivery this week, even when it seems i've got enough and of all the things i need, something else seems to be a good idea Rolling Eyes

From the top left;

Megs super degreaser branded spray bottle - I was going to buy some Megs super degreaser and needed a spray bottle to dilute it in and use. Only costs about £1.80 for pretty decent sprays so this was a no brainer.

Cheap tyre sponge - Couple of quids worth and i get a handy sponge for applying the tyre dressing very quickly and easily without having to find a cloth to cover in crap so be careful to cover the tyre evenly.

Foam applicator pads - long story....

303 Aerospace Protectant - This stuff is very highly regarded everywhere, it's for all trim types really, but i got it for specifics.

Sonus all in one multicleaner - This was offered to me cheap instead of the Megs degreaser.... The second bottle is a free mixer you get with it.

Detailing brushes - Nice and cheap, only a couple of quid each, *very* handy for getting in boot jams, bits of the engine bay and tight spots like where the mirror meats the door to keep them clean of algie/moss etc.

I'm planning on cleaning the engine bay up, it's much easier than i first thought and will really improve the look under the bonnet.
I'll be posting up some vids and tips that i've garnered/plagiarised from across the web as a guide when i do it Smile

The all in one cleaner is water based and is strong enough to degrease engines, yet i can use it to melt away tar spots safely from paintwork. It only cost me £5 because it wasn't listed on the website so i bought 5 £1 sponge applicator pads to make up the money on the order.
Yeah it got missed so i ended up with those and the cleaner too Wink
There are only 3 because i donated two to the guy at work who's just bought a nice new car and a bunch of other detailing stuff on my advice Smile

Once the engine bay is cleaned and degreased, it will need something on the rubbers and stuff to stop it going dry and cracking, that's where the 303 comes in. It's actually a protector for a lot of things if you read the bottle, but it will shine up the engine bay very well.

Yup, can get pretty addictive, thing is, you can look at a detailed car and think, wow, that's clean, but there is something else about it, not just clean, but sparkly clean.

Washed & waxed my car this afternoon.
Megs Liquid Gold shampoo & CG XXX Hard Core wax.

Also PlastX'd the front and rear lights and the wind deflectors. Cool

Looks really nice now, but I have to park under a tree with a pair of roosting wood pidgeons. hate-guns

I assume you mean megs super degreaser?
Personally, i wouldn't use that for wheel cleaning, i'm not sure exactly why right now, i'll try and find out though.

Push, you'll need to keep some stronger wax or sealant on it to help against the birds, it eats into the paint really harshly. Even if you can just use a bug sprayer or something and rinse off when you find it.

I'm going to take off the overhanging branches of the tree when I can. Twisted Evil

The bug sprayer sounds like a good idea though. What should I fill it with?

Hmm, was actually referring to a bug spray/tar/insect remover product Wink

Basically a pre wash, something to help get it off. I've currently got some CG bug-bugger, yeah, it's really called that.
However, i've literally just been looking into this again as i've not really noticed it working that well when i have tried it Sad

Think i'm going to look a bit more into this, although, if you need something very strong for tar removal, it seems tardis is the product to use.

Shiny or Stan might have more luck with something to suggest here until i find something.

Honestly though, you might even want to try something like one of those waterless washes to just a very quick removal of bird crap and tree stains.
I would never use one for washing the car though.

I find that if you car has been prepped well and has a good wax protection, bird s#!t is easily removed with a squirt of quick detailer (i use Meg's last touch) and a microfibre cloth. Using anything aggressive will strip off your protection.

I reckon the worse thing with trees though is the sticky sap deposits you get if parked under them.

Aye, the sap droppings, as it were, are horrible and i've seen paintwork completely eaten away by it.

Oh, and i got an answer on the Megs SD for wheels which i'm happy with.

Detailing Guy wrote:

As the name suggests Degreaser normally. And I say normally not all have solvents in the to break down the grease.

Not very good on clear coat or finished alloy wheels.
Bilberry is a gentle brake dust remover, no harsh chemicals.

As mentioned by him, Bilberry wheel cleaner is good.
I rate it very highly, more so than any other wheel cleaner i've used.
