As madmaxx said, takes a few hours of a weekend to begin with but removing the dirt from a nice protected surface is easy the next time as you're taking off dirt and the last stage product instead of taking the dirt off the paint surface, quick detailer for a top up every couple of weeks and a major clean when you can be bothered keeps things nice and I always use rainx on the windows because the rain beading up and rolling off really does help visibility a lot and it looks cool too.
Just give it a go sometime Bri, I'm sure someone will be nearby who could lend a few drops of wash, polish and wax/gloss, give it a go mate we'll convert you yet _________________ 01010000 01110111 01101110 01100101 01100100 00100001

My latest purchase, this is just designed as a really quick easy way to get a layer of wax/protection on the paint right after washing the car.
The idea is that i can still keep protection on the car during the winter months when the weather is really bad and you don't have time to wax a car properly.
With this, i'll just wash, rinse, dry (15 mins?) and then you just spray the wax on, and instantly wipe it off with a MF cloth, can wax the whole car in under 5 mins.
Duragloss 951 Aqua Wax (background is my freshly sprayed sunroof (dusty) and spoiler.

Whilst i think on, this seems to be the thread for new bits bought for detailing, so here are the items i got just recently.
From left to right.
* New spray bottle to mix the * Bilberry Safe Wheel cleaner with some * FK anti-bacterial de-odouriser sitting atop a can of * FK1000P sealant.
From left to right.
* Grit-Guard for sitting in the bottom of the bucket, you can wipe your washmitt on it and stop the dirt from swilling round and getting back on your clean paintwork, scratching it.
* EZ-Brush, special coated Nylex bristles and fully protected pointy stick, used for cleaning alloy wheels with tight gaps without damaging the finish.
* Pump insert for gallon bottles, this one is for my snow foam and the other came with the de-odour stuff.
Surprise of the day, the EZ-Brush, i knew it would be useful for cleaning between my spoked alloys, but i didn't realise just how good it would be.
I've cleaned all of my wheels, including the hard to reach inside part where i never normally get to clean, and it looks excellent
Second unexpected useful thing, the gritguard.
I can never be bothered using the two bucket method, i'm quite capable of making sure i waggle the washmitt around enough to get the dirt off it in the top of the bucket.
Makes you wonder why i bought a grit guard....
But, as it turns out, i no longer have to waggle the washmitt around, i just wipe once on the gritguard and it's baffles keep the crappy water at the bottom, giving me clean water for the whole wash.
Liked how easu the Bilberry wheel cleaner worked, literal spray on and wash off, but i did go over them again when i used the EZ brush because there were parts i'd never washed before.
Smelled pretty good, but it was windy and i couldn't smell it much
Best smell of the day had to be the Megs window cleaner i finished up with, never smelled window cleaner quite like this before, curiously addictive _________________

As mentioned in a previous post, if you want a quick fix user friendly wax, use Autoglyms Aqua wax.
Simply wash & rinse car, then spray on Aqua wax, rub into bodywork with a microfibre cloth, then buff to a shine after.
Best thing about this product is you eliminate/skip the drying process _________________

It doesn't seem to be a brand thing either, people will use a healthy mix of a lot of different brands to get the most suitable or best of type they can.
If you have different product types you want to try or need, just say and i'll give you some good options for each. | With waxes like Vintage, Royale & Solaris, it's difficult to place Zymol in the same sentence as Turtlewax!
You won't see Zymol mentioned much on DW as people tend to use cheaper alternatives and for a pro to use it, they have pay Łks to be an authorised user, or Zymol sue them! lol!
I believe the Zymol stuff in Halfords isn't proper Zymol, it's made under licence by someone like Turtlewax (contradicting my first sentence ). _________________

I don't know why, but i also got the impression it wasn't immediate wipe off, therefore, not fitting the requirement i had for being very quick and easy for winter use. |
Blitz is a stunning product, you should have asked a bit more about it on here.
It is a spray on sealant that actually lasts a long while for a spray on product, and produces good reflection and flake pop.
You spray on one spray per panel, wipe around, leave to haze and buff off. Not much more work than any other spray product to be honest, so worth a punt if you are after a long lasting spray on product. _________________
