OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!! Clearly all of you involved in this group buy are extremely lucky people!!! GET IT FITTED ASAP!!!
I fitted mine as soon as I got it (about 12:30am monday), and i've been driving sensibly until today (110 miles later).
The only way to discribe the difference is saying the engine feels so much more free. If you floor it in second or third, the pull is so much more lively.
I can't wait to get my CAI, manifold and decatted exhaust! I know it's gonna make a enormous difference.
Massive massive thanks to Didge for this painless group buy.
And lastly, it took me just under 4.5 hours on my jimmy jones. Physically impossible to do it it 2 hours, unless the brackets that hold the brackets, that holds the mounts to secure the other brackets have been stripped out already! _________________ H.O.N.D.A.

Thanks for the advice MADMAXX, probably take it easy till I hit 250 miles. Just quickly (to anybody), any recommendations on a good CAI kit? _________________ H.O.N.D.A.

No, um, hard to explin really, you have the entry hole on the clutch plate on both sides of it, the splines on one side of the clutch plate hole were lipped ever so slightly.
Not really visable, but when you tried to push the gearbox shaft all the way through, it would go in one side and stop as it tried to exit the clutch plate hole.
Problem would be when you tried to put it on the shaft backwards (obviously) as it would not slide on over the shaft.
Easily rectified, just so much easier noticing it before you try and re-attach the gear box. _________________

Received mine today to!! Looks awesome and if I can increase the limit on my credit card will get it fitted asap! Least I'll know then whether my gear problems are clutch or gearbox related!! |
