Reset ABS Fault Codes

Thanks to 'Incapable'

The procedure to reset the ABS codes is as follows:

- Plug in a paper-clip to the blue service connector under the dash.

- Press the brake pedal and hold.

- Turn the ignition key to the second position (not starting the car).

- When the ABS light goes out take your foot off the brake.

- The light will come back on, press the brake pedal again and hold.

- After the light goes out, release the pedal.

- The light will blink twice to indicate the DTC code was erased.

Bleeding the lude brakes

(thanks to prelude_stan and Prelude Australia)

Quick guide to bleeding the lude brakes taken from Prelude Australia:

You should always start with the brake furthest away from the brake
master cylinder, in our case, the left rear.

Attach a 10mm ring spanner over the bleed nipple and then put your brake bleed kit (clear hose and bottle) on the nipple. Get your partner to press on the brake pedal while you release the nipple. The brake fluid will flow out and then tighten up the nipple again. Get your partner to release the brake pedal after you have tightened the nipple. Repeat this until the new brake fluid is in the lines (colour difference).

After the left rear move to the front right (because we have a diagonally split braking system). Followed by the right rear and left front.

Photo of the 10mm ring spanner and bleeder hose attached.
