Hi guys,

Cheers for all the comments!

To answer a few of you:

Wheels: Yeah still not sure about them myself to be honest? They came on the car when I bought it. It's a shame they're only 15". They're a bit of a love it/hate it wheels. Some days I think they suit and other days I hate them. But they do look good when moving!

Amp mount: The mount was quickly knocked up with some mdf and covered in some chequer plated sheeting. It's held onto the boot floor with two long strips of velcro. Keeps it in place and easily removed if needed. The wiring needs undoing though so would be handy to mafe a connector block but wouldn't want to weaken the power through the main cable.

Lexus lights: Again wasn't 100% sure of them too. Around the time when every car had to have them my gf bought them for me at xmas, so couldn't really knock that. I was just stoked she had got me something for my car rather than some toiletries and socks! Laughing

Interior pics: As for the interior pics rather than clogg up space on this forum go to the Interior post section and look in Interior Retrimming. Theres a write up there with the same pics I'd be posting here(you may already seen it?).

Cheers,

Rob

Hi all,

A little update after my busy weekend.

I decided my wiper arms needed a fresh lick of paint as they were looking a little worse for wear, seems to be a popular thing lately:

Used the 'ole washing line trick, primered:

Then Satin Black:

Back on the car, the rear:

And the front:

Mmmmmm! Smooooooth! :

Not a bad job if I don't say so myself! Very Happy

The next day I decided a year and a half was long enough for my lude to wear the lexarse lights after my missus surprised me one xmas!

I was intending to detango my originals but after looking on cardomain I found a guy who had modified the lexus lights. So I thought I'd see what it looks like:

First stage, with a bit of a give away can of tint spray! Wink

Masked up and sprayed

And finally the finished product, what an improvement! Very Happy

On the car:

What do you guys think? I think its a vast improvement. The photos don't do it justice, it has transformed the rear of the lude.

In fact, the missus was so impressed with my spraying antics this weekend she got me to respray an old bench donated from her dad, it was black with bits of green and flaking everywhere.

A wave of my talents and hey presto! :

Laughing

it's the little things like the wipers that make all the difference! Cool

Those tinted rear lights also look awesome Rob! 10x better than before! Very Happy

A HUGE improvement to the looks of the car.

Those Lexus style lights look terrible IMO - especially on a red car - why would people want to replace red lights with chrome ones??

And good job on the wiper arms too Smile I'm doing mine this week, too! As you say, seems to be "the thing" to do Laughing

Forgot to post some pics of the M3 mirrors.

Some of you may hate them but I like them, plus I did it all myself so they have a soft spot in me. Gotta be better than my old pink ones anyhow!

Let me know what you think. Very Happy
