Yes no problem. I will have to have your center console and front cards first though becuase your wing mirror switch is on opposite side and I only have a spare pre faclift center console lid.

I would also need to know what colour you would like.

Thanks to all who are asking for this and I will get through them all. Just bear with me.

If anyone is interested in this please start a list and I will do my very best for you all. Cool

hi, i dont have the center console armrest...as mine is the prefacelift....also, all i would want would be:

rear pieces on N/S and P/S
front cards...the same pieces that you have made...[/quote]

Right then, I may be taking a cheat or a short cut but I may be able to get these seats.

I think these were from halfords but they are comfy and look OK. They seem to be the right thing to do but Im not 100% I stck one on my lude seat to see what they look like.

Oppinions wanted,

should I save and get black and red leather?

They will look better fitted Im thinking, they are just plonked on lude seat there.

I did want leather or similar but for £150 Confused not bad. Still got to wait for him to let me know if he will part with them.

Time to revive this thread

I have run out of spare money so the retrim in leather is on hold for a while. Still I wasnt happy with the nice red trim and standard black lude seats so I managed to get these seats at a bargain. Didnt like them whe I first fitted them but they are quite nice and comfy now.

These are cheap to buy and come in 3 colours from good old fleabay (cheers for linky stan)

Anyway, to fit they are a bit of hard work but I think they are worth getting and fitting. If you are great at fabrication you may be able to make your own brackets, if opur not that great like me then this is how I did it:

First you will notice the brackets on the new seats are just straight runners. These are easy to get on and off. 4 cap heads and thats it.

What I did was get a spare set of lude seats and un bolt the runner gear from the bottom. The points at where the seats bolt to the car is the bits your after These are heat pressed on and also have a rivit stuck in there.(only 3 out of 4 will detach from the seat rail, the other you will have to cut off)

Need this

And this

And maybe this but you will have to cut this off. Take more than you think you will need I reckon cut 5 inch off that bit and taylor it after.

Grind the rivits off and grind the heat weld. If you cant grind the heat weld dont worry, get a bolster chissel and smack them off. You can do this without any damage. You should end up with this

Do the same with the others Rolling Eyes

Take the rails from the door side of the seat first (this will become clear after).

Then the fornt mounts will need to be welded on so grind the surfaces up nice and clean. FFS make sure you weld to the right face or you will end up with useless runners. Do the door side rails first.

It should look like this: Or better Laughing

Take the rear bracket from lude seat along with your new welded outer bracket and gauge where to weld the raer lude bracket, make a mark, grind clean and weld into position. Thats 1 done

Same for the other side door side rail.

Now the center console side rail Evil or Very Mad

The font mount is straight forward and the same as above. The tricky part is the rear bracket. I had to make a breacket that kick out at an angle and make it extra long. When you look at the floor of the lude you will see the rear center console bracket is further back than the door side.

I used some othe bits form the spare seat and chopped them up. The key to getting a good fit here is make a hole in the bracket so you have side to side adjustment. Trying to get the holes to line up was a nightmare and time consuming. An oliptic hole will allow you some play.

This is what Im on about, room to make adjustments.

It may be an idea to open the hole on the door side bracket so you can get side to side adjustment.

You should sus it out as you go along should you choose to do this mission.

All I have to do now is make some covers to hide my mosterous welding.
With these seats fitted the car seems quiter, no squeeky seats as these are firmer and more forgiving on your bum. Hard sponge is how they feel. Im very pleased with them. Cool

I could do them for you for a small fee. I have it down to a tee now.
I have done a set for Si and Taffylude. Im confident they would back me up when I say I did a good job.

The more I have done the better they get. Si and Taffys are better than mine.

Just let me know.

Just had an idea I wish I had of thought of this before Mad

Make a card board template of the layout of the standard lude rails. If I had done that in the first place I would of saved hours of hassle.

Hey bri!

Looking good, very good indeed.

How are the door card inserts holding up with the glue/funky foam you used??? Be honest now, is any part coming loose yet or is it OK! Still on the cards for mine to be redone with the foam you see.

TBH I did mine during the winter but it wasn't until the heat in the summer that they worked loose a little in places.
