Donations to PreludeUK can now be accepted!
We now have a Paypal account that is linked to a separate Barclays bank account so all club purchases can be easily arranged and accounted for.
The PreludeUK Paypal account address is;

There has been talk of donations in the past, and now we can accept! So if anyone would still like to please do.
The PreludeUK fund will be spent on events and making the forum better, members can put forward ideas on how to spend the funds but the moderators will make all final decisions.
Our only club purchase so far has been the marquee (thanks to Garry/Confused for organising it all), which proved to be a great investment at Japshow, and it shows how easily we can do something like that.
A few ideas that have been put forward to get things started!
*PreludeUK flags like what the Mitsubishi Gallant Club had at Japshow
*A Huge PreludeUK banner or sticker for the marquee roof

As mentioned before I'd be very happy to donate if it means getting off this god awful forumcrap and getting proper hosting. _________________ '94 JDM BB4 Silver Si VTEC LSD

Wow, an online donation already, Thanks Stan for being the first, and thanks to the members at Japshow who donated to the Lude awards!
Q, Can donators get a special avatar description thingy or name colour or something cool?
Q, as shadowcat said, do we get super-elite status if we pay
A, Yes I will make a group for members that have donated, so under your name it will say that you have made a donation, similar to what some traders have (PreludeUK sponsor.)
Q, don't do paypal ....... anywhere I can send the cheque to and payable to who?
A, Cheques can be sent to me and I will put them straight in to the account, or bank transfer, PM or e-mail me for details!
Q, as mentioned before I'd be very happy to donate if it means getting off this god awful forumcrap and getting proper hosting.
A, we will be on our new server as soon as Forum Up lets me download a backup, I have paid so far so it’s not lack of funds that’s been slowing us down!

Nice one.
Sent you a few quid anyway, don't spend it all on fast women and loose cars. _________________ '94 JDM BB4 Silver Si VTEC LSD

Any more ideas for things to spend it on? |
Extending the Mansion? it did get a bit full at times. I'm sure thats the same type that we had for the Supra club, we just bought a half length one and joined it up |

Donation sent.
TBH and I'm really sorry if this up-sets anyone, I would rather pay £10.00 every now and again to PUK rather than 8.00 per year to LB, personally if I wanted to just chat about cars I would go to more chat rooms PUK is alot easier to get people to go to shows which is what joined a car club to do.
Personally I don't agree with having a special thing for people who donate, would make those who are un-able to make donations feel left out. To stop the obvious come back, those un-willing will be obvious by the amount of cash they spend on their lude and not make a donation.
I agree with Oldgit, the mansion did get a bit crowded at times, mainly when Jap Girls invaded to escape the rain . Also as another idea, who has a Costco card? could we extend it enough to put our own bar in?
How this could work:
Take Jap Show, 30 ludes were meant to turn up (some didn't so maybe think about how to work it in more detail) Say £10 per lude thats £300.00 go to costco buy SHED loads of larger, cider and girly drinks and do our own bar.
Pro's:
We don't have to lug booze ourselves plus spend over £20 (I spent about £80.00 on booze alone at japshow I know you're all shocked) so more room in boots and less weight.
No needing to goto the beer tent (expensive sometimes £2.50 for a 500ml can of Fosters was robbery) as for pole dancers I'm sure we could find godbers like the one at Jap Show to dance for us
More social atmosphere
If other clubs come and join us and want a drink, charge them, reasonably of course.
Con's
Transport
Manning the bar
Cooling
Licence??? (Don't think it would be an issue because shows are normally on private land and we're not advertising the fact that we are selling alchohol)
Anyway, rant mode off.
Cheeeers,
Chuffter
